Arbor Day Celebration

AFS Arbor Day Celebration
Friday, April 27, 2012
1:30 p.m.
On Friday, April 27, 2012 our entire school community including students, faculty, staff, many parents and alumni will gather together to celebrate the blessings of spring and reaffirm the School's commitment to caring for our earth.  This celebration features leadership and performance from our lower school first grade, fourth grade and fifth grade students.

Performance Dress
For Arbor Day, we ask that all 4th and 5th Grade students dress for our Arbor Day Celebration wearing a white shirt, black pants (not jeans), and comfortable shoes.
Students are encouraged to bring their performance clothes to school and change following their lunch recess.  All 4th Grade students will need their soprano recorders for the
Arbor Day Performance.

AFS Nature Week

AFS Outside and the AFS ECCO program, in cooperation with Briar Bush Nature Center, will be presenting a terrific "Nature Week" April 23rd through April 26th.  This will be a fantastic opportunity to spend time outside on our beautiful campus!   We have quite a week planned.  Stream studies, insects, games and trees are all part of the plan.  I will be there all 4 days to share the experience with your children!  If you have any questions at all please email me at rmistretta@abingtonfriends.net
